Church Life

Jesus Christ is alive! And Christian churches are intended to be alive in him (Rev. 3:1). With that in mind, our congregation encourages active involvement of members in “in public and from house to house” (Acts 20:20). First and foremost, our church loves gathering together on the Lord’s Day. There is nothing like happy fellowship around God’s Word with all God’s people. So our public meetings of the church involves the scheduled meeting times on the Lord’s Day as well as certain mid-week meetings. But we also encourage our members to take the initiative to make ministry personal, showing hospitality and gathering in smaller groups from house to house through the week.

In this way, our church seeks to have a shared spiritual life in which spiritually alive people help promote spiritual life in other people of all different ages, life situations and backgrounds. This God-wrought energy that works within us (Eph. 3:20), is also often directed evangelistically as members joyfully collaborate in efforts to reach the lost in different settings with the saving gospel of our Lord and Savior. We hope in this way, GBC will continue to build itself up in love.
